In most of the Bay of Plenty, there is good availability of groundwater. However, there are some areas of the Bay of Plenty where groundwater is fully allocated based on current allocation limits in the operative Regional Natural Resources Plan.

However, these limits are being reviewed and may change as a result of new science that is nearing completion. We intend to have new maps and draft limits available for the engagement (around the end of June) and will do our very best in the interim to explain what we do know now.
